Youth Page

Welcome to the Youth Page!!

“Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct,
love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.”
1 Timothy 4:12

This page will be dedicated to young people.
My goal is to encourage and answer questions you may be struggling with.
I pray everyday for our youth.  Our youth today face many more problems
than I did when I was younger.

I am hoping that if you have a Bible question that you will ask it by
emailing me at: churchofchrist@verizon.net

There will be materials related to you as well put on this page from time to time.
May we grow together in God’s Word.

“Only be strong and very courageous…” (Joshua 1)
God told Joshua, a young man several times to be strong and courageous.
Joshua had big shoes to fill, the shoes of Moses who had led God’s children
for quite some time.  It was a big job, but as the old saying goes “somebody
had to do it.”  God chose Joshua and was with him all the way.  Though you
may be young and feel you are limited in what you can do, don’t be, because
God can use you as He did Joshua to do great things.

Children’s Changing Attitudes
Age 4 – “My parents can do anything.”
Age 8 – “There might be one or two things they don’t know.”
Age 12 – “Naturally my parents don’t understand.”
Age 14 – “I never realized how hopelessly old fashioned they are.”
Age 21 – “You would expect them to feel that way; they are out of date.”
Age 25 – “They come up with a good idea now and then.”
Age 30 – “I wonder what Mom and Dad think I should do?”
Age 40 – “Let’s wait until we discuss it with our parents.”
Age 50 – “What would Mom and Dad have thought about it?”
Age 60 – “I wish I could talk it over with them one more time.”
